The bathroom has
an over-the-bath electric instant shower and shaving point and the kitchen
is well equipped with double oven, gas hobs, washing machine and microwave.
The cottage
garden is private, with year-round colour, attracting birds, butterflies
and bees. There is a covered patio area (with fridge for drinks), a summerhouse,
garden furniture and barbecue.
Sitting peacefully
just off the beaten tourist track, Pen Y Banc is, nevertheless, within
easy reach of Mount Snowdon itself, the Italianate village of Portmeirion,
the coastal castles of Harlech, Caernarfon and Beaumaris, the sandy beaches
of the Llyn Peninsula, as well as Llangollen, home of the famed annual
Eisteddfod, and the historic city of Chester.
Pen
Y Banc is
a detached stone cottage with enclosed private gardens to its front
and rear. It is cosy, comfortable and relaxing. Originally two cottages,
built at least 200 years ago, it retains many original features but
has been sensitively modernised to include double-glazing and central
heating. A multi-fuel Hunter stove in the dining room and an instant
gas stove in the traditional stone fireplace in the living room ensure
that holidays are warm and comfortable year-round.
