Y Banc holiday
cottage is in the pretty hamlet of Sarnau, at the edge
of the moorland, mountains and wildlife of the Snowdonia National Park.
To its east lies the Clwydian Range of heather-clad hills and limestone
cliffs, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Sarnau is
less than four miles from the attractive market town of Bala with a small
supermarket and a choice of local shops, pubs, restaurants, cafés,
craft shops and art gallery. Bala stands at the head of its beautiful lake
(Llyn Tegid in Welsh) on which you can fish, sail, canoe or simply admire
the views from the narrow-gauge railway which runs down one side.
